VHHA Launches Next-Level Patient Experience Improvement Plan for 2022-2023

VHHA has spent the last few months gathering information from hospitals and patients about the current state of patient experience in Virginia. Surveys of nursing leaders, physician leaders, patient experience leaders, and community members have revealed common themes and powerful opportunities for aligning efforts, sharing innovations, re-engaging and inspiring staff, and partnering with patients and families. From the information that was gathered in these surveys, VHHA has worked with a statewide Patient and Family Experience Forum to develop a comprehensive Next-Level Patient Experience Work Plan for 2022-2023. This work plan aims to provide COVID-informed solutions and educational materials for hospital staff to enhance patient and family experiences across all of Virginia’s hospitals.
