Recap of the 2023 Virginia Healthcare Emergency Preparedness Summit: April 19, 2023

Emergency preparedness officials from Virginia gathered in Richmond on April 19 for the 2023 Virginia Healthcare Emergency Preparedness Summit, whose theme was “Accelerating Preparedness for Tomorrow’s Threats.” The Summit presented by VHHA brought together more than 3250 people for educational programming focused on responding to mass casualty events, biopreparedness, addressing the medical needs of displaced refugee populations, post-pandemic supply chain management, incident response team development, health care emergency planning, and the role of the regulatory process during disaster situations.
